Description
This Island is located where heaven meets earth. You have it all, the Gulf of Mexico and the St. Joseph Bay. You can deep sea fish, bay fish, scallop, ski, scuba dive, sail or tour the historical sites of the gulf coast. Just being in this crystal clear water is a reward in itself. I know because I have been visiting this area for over 30 years. This island would make a nice corporate or church retreat.
This 7.2 Acre Island is situated on a coastline that runs predominately east and west. Stretching ten degrees east of true north and south, paralleling a peninsula created by Cape San Blas. The Island is in the bay formed by the cape. There are 26 - 1 and 2 story homes and a club house on the island. Due to the Apalachicola River, and the peculiar tide, the cape has developed and grown forty miles out into the Gulf of Mexico. Close to the point of Cape San Blas where the mainland finally slopes into the Gulf, to the south, shoals extend many more miles out to the sea. To the north, the Island resides two miles east of the mainland, but twelve miles south of the mouth of St. Joe Bay. The Island is Located in the heart of Northwest Florida?s Forgotten Coast, it is conveniently located 39 miles east of Panama City Beach, 22 miles west of Apalachicola, 10 minutes from the mainland and 5 miles from the nearest private airport.
