Joe Samuels is President and Principal Broker of Jos. T. Samuels, Inc., Realtors, a family owned Charlottesville based business established in 1913. Our business model is a bit different from others in that the focus has been on the unique, the different, the old and interesting country property. Our careers have been spent promoting conservation easements and protecting our countryside. We have practical experience in land management, financing, animal husbandry and even farming of specialty crops and cheese-making.
Joe currently serves on the Advisory Board of the Virginia Horse Center and as Board Chairman of WorkSource Enterprises a local Charlottesville group finding employment for people with disabilities. Joe has recently served on the Board of the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation and the National Board of Equine Land Conservation Resource. Joe was a founding member and long-time Vice-Chair of the Albemarle County Acquisition of Conservation Easements program providing local farmers an avenue for permanent protection of their farms. Joe is a member and past President of the Whitehall Ruritan Club. He is a member of Charlottesville's St. Paul's Memorial Church having served on the Vestry and as Junior Warden. Joe was born in Charlottesville and is a graduate of Hampden-Sydney College.
