Tera’s family homesteaded in Idaho shortly after the Civil War and she’s lived and worked on Idaho’s Camas Prairie for nearly 40 years. After stints as a ranch hand at an exclusive fly-in guest ranch and as a U.S. Forest Service backcountry ranger, she joined Northwest Management, Inc. in 2003 as a timber cruiser and firefighter. She spent the next decade traveling all over the western states working on private and industrial timberlands for various clients as well as working with agencies and public collaborative groups to develop realistic solutions to a wide range of natural resource issues including wildland fire, forest health, public access, and water resource management. In 2015, she became a partner at Northwest Management, Inc. and continues to work with staff to provide consulting services to forest industry, private landowners, state and federal agencies, tribes, and non-profit organizations. The brokerage, Northwest Rural Properties, officially opened its doors with Tera as CEO in 2017 and has been serving many of the Company’s existing clients with real estate services as well as building relationships with a whole new network of people.
She has a Bachelor of Science in Forest Resources and Ecosystem Management from the University of Idaho as well as a Masters of Business Administration from Norwich University specializing in Corporate Finance. She serves as the Inland Empire Society of American Foresters Treasurer and is a member of the Executive Team for the Clearwater Resource Conservation and Development Council working to improve the quality of life for communities in central Idaho by advocating for youth education and employment in natural resource fields such as forestry, agriculture, wildlife, and recreation management.
