Location: This South Texas ranch is located approximately 6 miles west of Crystal City on paved FM 393 in Zavala County.
Description: This unique ranch is located within the famed Golden Triangle known for its outstanding quality white-tailed deer. This low fenced property is named for the 12 acre Crooked Lake which is located on ranch. It has an incredibly healthy and diverse terrain. Large mesquites as well as a variety of old native brush species including granjeno, blackbrush, guajillo and an abundance of grass blanket the gently rolling land. Bottomland habitat includes huge live oak trees, cedar elm, pecan, and hackberry.

Wildlife: Wildlife on the ranch includes whitetail deer, turkey, feral hogs, javelina, dove and quail. In addition to the native whitetail deer, crooked lake harbors numerous duck species in the winter. Crooked lake has numerous fish species including bass and catfish.
Water: This well watered ranch is named for the 12 acre Crooked Lake which is located on the property. This natural lake is part of Turkey creek which transverses the northeast corner of the ranch. Additionally, seasonal Comanche creek also meanders through the ranch. There is a new water well with a submergible pump on the ranch.
Improvements: There is a nice 2000sq/ft manufactured home or lodge with a wood deck. There is also a newly constructed, concrete floored, lighted game cleaning station with a new 6’ X 8’ walk-in cooler. There is electricity and new water well with a submergible pump. The roads on this ranch have been recently graded with railroad ballast added at several low water crossings as well as several new culverts installed. The entire ranch is fenced with a 4 strand barbed wire fence. There are six hunting blinds and seven feeders on the ranch.
