Rebel Ridge....One of the most historical Developments on Toledo Bend Lake....Just a few years back, you could still see where the Rebel Soldiers built the mounds to hide themselves and the cannons while they waited for the yankees to come down the Sabine River. Word has it that the Battle of Logansport wiped the yankees out before they reached the Ridge. I was told that Rebel Ridge was then used as a Prisonor of War Camp. I do not know if all this is true, but years ago my kids found some artifacts from the Civil War era, as several other folks did too. I will leave "the rest of the story" for you to read about....very interesting material....ENJOY!
