The 1,991 acre Lord-Ellis Timber and Recreation Tract is located by Lord-Ellis Summit, 15 miles east of Arcata on Highway 299, along the east facing slopes of Wiregrass Ridge by Redwood Creek. Redwood National Park is located 5 miles north of the Lord Ellis-tract. There is a small amount of Redwood Creek frontage in Section 28 north of Redwood Creek Ranch. There is an easement from Highway 299 and a Reciprocal Easement Agreement with Green Diamond Resource Company that provides access to the block of land that extends 4.5 miles north to south. The forest site classification is II to III. Toss-Up Creek drainage on the northern portion of the property has very steep slopes and will require significant improvements to the road system for future logging.

There is no Timber Harvest Plan for the Lord-Ellis tract. The last harvest was 257 MBF in 2002
