10 ACRE ODLUND ISLAND GULF COAST FLORIDA

Settled by Alec & Luella Odlund in 1910, Odlund Island is a ten acre island surrounded by hundreds of acres of Federal Land and the Gulf of Mexico and is deep water accessible by boat via the McGriff Channel. Known as an area for good fresh and saltwater fishing combined with Mrs. Odlunds cooking talents, the island was a mecca for professional people, mainly from Georgia, looking for lodging, fishing and good eating. This historical property includes the old Odlund home, several storage barns and the family cemetery. The island is served by electricity that runs over 1 mile through the marsh from the Town of Suwannee where you will find numerous marinas, restaurants and fishing tackle supplies.
