The area is ideal for those seeking the solitude of nature with year round hiking, camping, horseback riding, hunting & fishing. We have one of the best climates in the country. Not too hot in the summer, not too cold in the winter. The coldest time of the year is normally late December into January and the hottest time of the year is the middle of June. Daytime temperatures in winter average around 45 degrees, in the summer around 85 degrees. Normal low humidity makes even the extreme temperatures bearable.

This locale boasts of many significant snapshots into history. Billy The Kid was raised in Silver City. Geronimo and his Apaches roamed and raided around these mountains. Butch Cassidy and the Wild Bunch worked and roamed the area around Alma. Kit Carson scouted nearby. Jim Kirker, Bear Moore & Ben Lilly called these mountains home. Mogollon Vista is situated around a small wetlands area and park provided strictly for the benefit of the residents of the estate. It is jointly owned by all residents of the estate and will be maintained by the residents themselves.

Sit on your back porch in the early morning or evening and see mule deer, jackrabbits, javalina, coyotes and maybe even an elk or two roaming the open spaces. Numerous bird species, including Sand Hill Cranes, Golden & Bald eagles, and of course, the state bird, the elusive and funny Road Runner.
