The lake is extraordinarily well maintained and provides excellent fishing for bass, catfish, and bluegill in its unusually clear waters. The lake also serves as the supplier for the gravity fed watering system that serves the corrals and barns. I thought that a lake so far from the road might attract waterfowl and sure enough the first time we viewed it we scared up a large flock of mallards, and the owner says that Canadian Geese are thick during the season. The lake comes equipped with a nice dock, has some mature trees surrounding it, and is so well mowed and maintained you’d think you were at some city park rather than a secluded high pasture.

Driving through the pasture I couldn’t help but notice how high this ground sits and how spectacular the views are in all 4 directions. While taking my tour I noticed that as I drove along the slope of the pasture it seemed to get a little wet and sure enough there was a spring flowing from near the top of the hill and the owner has marked it with some heavy rocks.

The property itself is located on a lightly traveled asphalt road and rural water runs along the road so there should be no problem building a home along the road. That home could be built overlooking the lake and have scenic views in all directions. This is the type of a property where you can build a home that becomes a retreat for the extended family for years to come. It’s difficult to find properties like this so close to a major metropolitan are and you should take a tour of this land at your earliest opportunity. Just remember that the best part of this land cannot be seen from the road.
