Ponderosa's on the Plateau

US Forest Service gate. 24 miles from Delta up 25 Mesa Road, in Montrose County.

Elevation around 8,300 feet predominantly a ponderosa pine forest but frequent aspens, plus oaks

chokecherries, sarviceberry and sage. There is a spring and a few ponds. 3 permitted wells.

The land is all usable being mostly level and great for horseback riding, ATV's, hiking and hunting (unit 62).

There is a 30 year old very sturdy log cabin of about 960 square feet. Two bedrooms and a loft. Block foundation and a metal roof.
