This property is part of the great Chihuahuan Desert, an area with distinctive desert features including unique plants and wildlife. The summers are hot and dry with infrequent afternoon showers and the winters are mild with occasional short outbreaks of cold weather. The elevation on this property ranges from about 2260 to about 2340 feet above sea level.
This little hunting ranch is unimproved for the most part. It has a little camphouse that was blown over by the wind and there is a fence along the eastern boundary that appears to be just beyond the property survey line. It is mostly gently rolling with desert brush, primarily creosotebush, 4 to 6 feet high. In the northeast part of this tract of land there is a small canyon or large draw that begins on the property and opens up to the east. The extreme northest portion of the property is part of a canyon running to the southeast. There are views of mountains to the South (in Mexico) and West (in Texas) and several ridges off in the distance to the north and east. It can be characterized as rectangular in shape, almost a square. It is definitely a scenic area and one of the remotest areas in the country. It is a long way from civilization which many people find appealing.
