Bucks: 150, 160, 170 and 190 class deer are not uncommon in this immediate area.
Location: 15 minutes south of I-40, 10 minutes west of Hughes, 20 minutes from Forrest City/Crowleys Ridge on Hwy 38. This tract is surrounded by other larger tracts of 19 year old WRP land and is only 1/2 mile from the St. Francis River, a natural corridor for wildlife, especially deer.
The Land: This is a 167 acre tract of land with 160 acres in 19 year old WRP. It was developed by the Natural Resource and Conservation Service 19 years ago for deer and other wildlife hunting opportunities. The tract has several designated food plot areas, a few shallow water areas, thousands of fruit bearing trees, trails and an area for a hunting cabin. Utilities are nearby!

THE HUNTING: Ninety eight (98%) of the total acres are in the Wetlands Reserve Program. These tracts were enrolled into the WRP program in March of 1998 and have been developed for wildlife including waterfowl, deer and other game. Designated food plot areas, levees, water control structures, water areas and tree planting are in place! Most all of these tracts join other high end hunting clubs. A local sportsman has been leasing and managing the deer herd and states that his group harvests approximately 15 20 nice bucks per season.
