Fishing is excellent in the San Marcos River, which borders the ranch for about 200 feet. A spring fed creek that flows all of the time originates on the ranch, flowing to the river and creating a wonderfully wooded draw that is a haven for songbirds, varmints and game. River access is good at the point that the creek enters the river, and the river is a relaxing shaded avenue for canoes, tubes and kayaks along this stretch. Flood plain on the ranch is minimal due to the interesting topography, but the river does get out of the banks here fairly regularly.
