The ranch starts just three miles south of Philipsburg, Montana. Consisting of 2360 acres with seven pivots, three wheel lines and some hand line that irrigate 850 acres of hay and pasture ground putting up an average of 1200 round bales hay per year and pasturing 350 pairs of cows. The ranch also has a 204 head forest permit that is an easy three hour cattle drive to the northwest. The permit is a unique permit in that you run by your self; no one else runs cattle on your permitted section of the forest. Lots of water complements the ranch, with Trout Creek being the biggest creek to springs and small tributaries. Section 17 is a mountain with pine trees, big springs flowing from the draws and has elk and deer. Ranch headquarters are located in Section 21 and is a newer three bedroom home with older horse barn and a big metal calving shed that is in excellent shape, good corrals which have access to the creek. The metal calving shed could be used for a small indoor riding arena. The second set of buildings lay in Section 32 right off the highway. The home and other barns are older and useable. An interesting aspect of the ranch is that, it looks like there are many separate deeds, about seven. The ranch would not be to hard to parcel out into a subdivision if one wanted to do so. Because of the location Georgetown Lake, Discovery Ski Basin, Flint Creek Wilderness area, Missoula (2nd largest City in Montana), the Scenic Highway #1 to name a few of the amenities this would make an ideal investment for now and the future as a subdividedable piece of property.

Trout Creek runs about 2 miles through the ranch and gives you some great fishing along with duck and goose hunting. There are 2 distinct ranches, which form the 2360 acres. One we call the Home Ranch and the other called the South Ranch. Both have their

own houses, barns corrals, etc. and both have a different herd of about 200 elk that hang out on the ranches. The owner doesnt hunt and allows bow and rifle hunters to help keep the elk out of the hay fields. This area is well known for large bull elk, many from this area , Flint Creek Mountains, can be seen at the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation headquarters in Missoula, Montana. There are also whitetail and mule deer.
