This is an appealing waterway for kayaking and fishing as well as floating and swimming. The flow is strong, and this is one of the best water features in all of the Texas Hill Country, providing seclusion and privacy. Bass fishing and catfish are prolific and waterfowl hunting can be strong at times as well.
Topography: Varied and rolling Hill Country topography with views and appealing terrain. Rock ledges create an appealing and fun stairstep down to the river below, as well as providing scenic overlooks from above. There are also areas with productive, alluvial soils.
