Embracing change and seizing new opportunities, I was ready to refocus on my career and personal goals. My journey has been filled with growth and trying new things to learn just what I am capable of achieving! For a long time, my number one focus was raising my two children, Grant and Ally. I loved being there for them and never missing a game or school event. But once they started going off to college, I was ready to focus on my career and continue my education to earn an MBA. Balancing family with education was hard, and I had years of catching up to do, but I was fiercely motivated to do whatever it took! At the time, I was working at Truman State University. I got into higher education largely due to the influence of Polly Madison, a career counselor who worked there. She encouraged me to work in the career center, where I witnessed her incredible ability to organize major job fairs and support students. Her encouragement and example inspired me to pursue a path in higher education where I could make a meaningful impact.I quickly realized that, despite my life experience, I needed a formal degree to progress in my career. Over three years, I worked hard to earn my MBA from Culver Stockton College, which immediately opened doors for me, allowing me to climb the ladder quickly. Not long after receiving my MBA, I moved to Moberly Area Community College as the Assistant Director on the Kirksville campus and was promoted to Director of Alumni services during the pandemic. These huge promotions were everything I had hoped for, and yet, the isolation of working alone during COVID made me reconsider my future. I craved those one-on-one conversations, wanting to build connections and make a difference. My husband and I have always been involved in real estate, buying and selling properties. This interest had always stuck in the back of my mind as something I wanted to do one day. This led me to pivot, obtaining my real estate license in 2021. Given all I had achieved in a short amount of timeearning my MBA and reaching career goalsI wasnt afraid to make a change and dive into something new. With our background in real estate, I had a clear vision of the kind of REALTOR I wanted to bethe kind, knowledgeable, informative, and friendly REALTOR who only wanted the best for their clients. My first year in real estate was incredibly fast-paced, giving me ample opportunity to learn and develop my skills. In my first year, I was named Rookie of the Year by our local REALTOR association and later received Top Producer awards. Realizing I needed better tools and support, I joined eXp Realty, where I found the technology and resources necessary to excel. A passion for helping others and a love for learning have driven me throughout my professional journey. The joy of educating my clients and staying ahead of the ever-changing market keeps me motivated and constantly working to improve and perfect my services! Another important part of my life is my community involvement. Whether volunteering at the YMCA, serving on the United Way Board, participating in Rotary events, or fundraising money for a cause, Ive always valued supporting my community. Real estate has been a natural extension of my community service, giving me even more resources and connections within the community. I take pride in being a connector of people and finding a way to get the job done. Through embracing change, pushing myself to new heights and staying true to myself, I have built a beautiful life that I am grateful for. Outside of work and community service, I prioritize family time with my kids and grandkids. They are my greatest pride and joy, and I hope my journey has shown them that it is possible to chase every dream, having a beautiful family while still building a career you love! One of the aspects I love most about real estate is meeting new people and forming connections. I cherish the relationships built with clients and continuing them long after the transaction is over. Some of my favorite moments are watching each family member fall in love with a home, or when a seller gets the offer they thought was impossiblemoments like these make every day exciting and deeply rewarding. My entrepreneurial spirit drives me to always think about what I can do next to improve and stay ahead. This mindset has been crucial as I have adjusted to the changing markets in order to deliver the best service to my clients. I strive to leverage technology to benefit my clients, offering them easy access to property information and resources through my website.
