ONE OF A KIND PROPERTY. For the log cabin enthusiast, this is a log settlement in Rosedale that includes the main house, a second one room cabin with sleeping room upstairs, a smoke house and an out house. Unique to the main house is a log kitchen connected by an enclosed breezeway. Most of the kitchens were frame but this one is made of logs and has a large stone fireplace. Owner has verification that date the logs from 1791 to 1850. He disassembled the buildings from their original sites and moved them to Rosedale to be re-assembled. Logs are yellow poplar and oak, floors are tongue and groove, fireplaces are stone. This settlement sits high on a hill overlooking the Clinch Mountain range. Apple, peach and cherry trees adorn the yard and a grape vine grows at the entrance to the settlement. For those who desire a bit of modernization, septic plat is on file, and water and power are available.
