Exquisite Davis Mountains home on 30.02 acres atop the foothills of Blue Mountain (in the background). The home, built by Rainbow Adobe of Alpine, Texas, is made of stucco over stabilized adobe block, and includes many finely crafted, custom finishes that are the specialty of this fine builder. The interior has 6X8 rough sawn pine beams and diagonally placed ceiling boards, hand-made cabinets and built-ins throughout the home. A wood-burning stove provides plenty of warmth on cool days. Floors are made from paver bricks set in sand in the main house and bedrooms, and Saltillo tile in the kitchen. This two-bedroom, 1.75 bath home has covered porches on two sides, with a large deck off the eastern side, with views of the Puertacitas, Haystack and Mano Prieto Mountains. The covered porches have built-in benches, and are traditional Rainbow Adobe style with hand-peeled vigas (posts) and heavy timber beams and ceilings similar to the interior. The master bedroom suite has a full bath with his and hers vanity sinks and separate water closet. The carport is currently used as an extension of a small workshop that has plenty of storage. Water is provided from a 200' deep well, to a 1500 gallon storage tank, and then to the house by gravity.
