This tract is in northeast Amite County and the north boundary is Newman Road. Approximately 30% of this property is on bottomland/SMZ with bottomland hardwoods and pine. The west side has has a 20 acre stand of 25 year old planted pine and the balance is natural re-generation hardwood and pine. This tract has a gentle roll and the interior road system is superior. The natural re-generation hardwoods and pine provide and excellent habitat for wildlife. During wet conditions a large part of this tract will hold water, this is obvious by the amount of swell butted hardwoods. The water retention is a plus to most recreational users.
