Property Overview Wheeler Mountain is located in northern Snohomish County, Washington 16Â± miles northeast of Granite Falls and about 12 miles east of I-5, as the crow flies. The Jim Creek Naval Radio Station is adjacent to the southwest portion of the property and Washington State DNR, Mt. Baker National Forest and the Boulder River Wilderness Area border on all other sides. There are numerous small lakes and ponds at the geographic center of the ownership that form the headwaters of Little Jim Creek, which runs for two miles through the property to the south. Elevations range from 800 feet to 3600 feet.
The Wheeler Mountain tree farm is a Â±6,262 acre industrial-grade contiguous timberland block located near multiple domestic and export log market outlets. Stand data shows seventy five percent (75%) commercial operability with a diverse age class distribution of white woods and Douglas-fir tree species growing on Site Class II, III & IV soils. Forty one percent (41%) of the timbered acreage is 35 years old or older and contains an average of 21 MBF/acre. Complete timber inventory information is available upon request.
