Located 6 ½ miles west of Highway 259 on County Road 2235 and is the Eastern part of Red River County. 700± Acres all planed in Pine Trees except about 50 acres of hardwoods. This property had been clear cut and cleaned prior to planting Pine Trees. The first planting was nine years ago and the second planting was seven years ago. After the second planting, herbicide was applied and killed all growth except native grass and Pine Trees. This allowed the trees to grow with little to no competition. Through the years, trees have been spot planted as needed. All this work has provided an excellent stand. The property is fenced and a fire guard is maintained inside the fence. In addition to the road provided by the fire guard, all of the old logging roads have been maintained giving good access through the property. There is excellent hunting with lots of deer and wild hogs. The deer have been managed under the Texas Parks and Wildlife programs. There is one spring fed lake, a couple of streams, and the place is very near the Sulphur River, but does not flood.
