Nestled in a canyon alongside the crystal clear waters of the Sabinal River, just 65 miles from San Antonio, 2 miles from the beautiful Lost Maples state park, and 14 miles from Garner state park you will find Bandera Counties first (legal) winery. Truly one of the most beautiful and picturesque parts on the Texas Hill country region. Lost maples region is the heart of the Texas Hill country. This area is known for spectacular scenery, wildlife, and breathtaking drives that are unmatched anywhere else in the state. Lost Maples region serves as a destination for those who love nature, local cuisine, Texas wine, and wonderful accommodations. The Villa at Polvadeau Vineyards is your ideal destination for a relaxing or romantic getaway which sits on the same property as the winery. The boutique winery has a selection of award winning wines and the tasting room is just a short walk from the Villa. This 16 acres on the west side of the Sabinal contains about 2/3 of the vines with two 40/60 metal buildings with 9 of spray foam insulation in the walls. Both barns have two qty 5 ton air conditioners. A must if you plan on making, bottling, and storing your own wine. Crossing the river you find the 62 acre ranch with a primary residence and separate mother-in-law house. On this side you have he other 1/3 of the vines. The vines are all protected by high fence. The ranch is low fenced and has an abundance of wildlife. Common to the area you have white tail, axis deer, turkeys, and pigs. The exotics currently on this place are red stag and elk. This side of the ranch has a robust 2000 feet of Sabinal riverfront. There is a shallow 14 well on this side and a much deeper Trinity well on the other side. One of the barns, on the winery side, has the ability to catch 6000 gallons of rain water with improvements already in place for another 6000 gallons worth of storage.
Coming from San Antonio, you get on Highway 90 W. and go to Sabinal. At Sabinal, you will go north on 187 and drive through Utopia. Just few more miles up 187 and you arrive at Lost Maples Winery.
