This high-quality, sparkling alpine surface water, stored in Shasta Reservoir, provides all of the farm's irrigation needs. These Sacramento River "Settlement Contractors", with 100% allocation, enjoy some of the most productive water resources in the State of California. (2.) There are also untapped sustainable groundwater reserves overlaying the Colusa sub-basin. (3.) Additionally there is the Sites Reservoir Development in nearby Maxwell, upstream the Sacramento River. The Sites Reservoir proposed storage capacity is estimated at 1.4 million acre feet. Reclamation District-108 is a participating member with future water reserved.

Soils: High-production enriched well-drained Sacramento clay with good infiltration, consistent across all fields. Laser-leveled on 9% grade for efficient drainage.
