BR Ranch

BR Ranch - Newell, Butte County, South Dakota:

The BR Ranch is located seven miles east of Newell, South Dakota on a county maintained, gravel road. An excellent set of steel corrals just off the road offers easy loading and unloading regardless of weather conditions. The ranch consists of 5,287.38 deeded acres and 1,000 BLM lease acres for a total of approximately 6,287 acres. Livestock water is provided by reservoirs and dugouts scattered across the ranch. The owners have developed a grazing system on the ranch to enhance the productivity and variety of grasses which offers excellent grazing for yearlings or cow/calf pairs. During the 2015 grazing season, the following livestock grazed on the BR Ranch: 888 yearling heifers for 89 days, 297 pairs for 160 days, and seven bulls for 86 days.
