Buffalo Creek Ranch is in the 590 special permit area. With having Landowner Preference this permit has very high odds of drawing year after year. Last year the odds were 100% drawn for both residents and non-residents for archery. The rifle permit was 70% for residents and 100% for non-residents.

Water Resources

The Buffalo Creek Ranch is a very well-watered ranch with diversity of natural water from Buffalo Creek (seasonal) and two developed springs. There is a 35 GPM well that supplies all the structures on the farmstead as well as 2 different rubber tire tanks for stock use. An additional 9 GPM well on the northeastern section of the ranch supplies cattle and wildlife with water. Water rights are available upon request and will be transferred to the buyer at closing.

Climate

Montana climate offers diverse seasons, with average summer temperatures in the mid-80s and average winter snowfall of approximately 40 inches. The area receives around 13 inches of rainfall annually, making it well-suited for both ranching and recreational activities.
