Current management includes an aggressive brush control program to control oaks, hedge and Sericea lespedeza. With the use of controlled burning and chemical applications, a large percentage of undesirable species have been removed.

The majority of the fences are 5 wire and less than 10 years old. Quality livestock handling facilities are strategically located across the ranch to facilitate cattle management. Ranch ponds, as well as a few springs and Davis Creek, provide adequate livestock water even in times of severe drought.

Southeast Kansas is noted for trophy whitetail bucks and this ranch has its share. Oak ridges, along with hardwood timber in the creek bottoms, provide adequate feed and cover to produce trophy deer. Turkeys, quail, coyotes and other small game make this an excellent choice for the outdoor enthusiast. Many of the ponds are stocked with bass, crappie and catfish for the fisherman. The two forks of Davis creek crossing the ranch provide small stream fishing and recreational opportunities.

The minerals are intact and will transfer to the buyer. There is no production on the ranch, but producing oil wells are in operation within a mile from the ranch.
