Terrain: The Red Arrow Game Ranch is a stocked high fenced property that has been under game management for nine years and ready for you to enjoy. The ranch is mostly private with an entrance from a gravel county road and once you are on the property it is quiet and peaceful. It has a well-balanced mixture of vegetation comprised of; Bull Mesquite, Live Oak, Hackberry, Bumelia, Elbow bush, a large variety of underbrush, and a few small plots of thick grassy areas where most of the brush has been removed. Water is also prominent over much of the ranch and with nine ponds, it is hard to travel a few hundred yards anywhere on the property without coming across a good body of water. High genetic deer from south Texas have been released multiple times on the ranch and are growing into some of the huge whitetails they were bred from. The white-tailed herd has been steadily improved for nine years through balancing the buck-to-doe ratio, supplemental protein feeding, culling of inferior bucks, predator control, the elimination of feral hogs, and the infusion of quality South Texas genetics. In 2017-18 the owner was issued 10 buck and 12 doe tags under the MLDP level III program! The ranch is primarily flat to rolling with some prominent, rocky high points.
