Day Valley's history. The ranch dates back to 1863 and holds some of the oldest water rights on the John Day river. The ranch has irrigated hay fields, rangeland with varied topography and 1.4 miles of John Day River frontage. Ranch qualifies for 4 LOP tags for deer and 4 LOP tags for elk.
