Terrain: The Throckmorton Ranch's landscape consists of bull mesquite flats, live oak thickets, and areas of scattered post oaks and nice elevation change. From the cattle guard entrance of the ranch just behind the ranch house, the rolling pasture consists primarily of large mesquite and scattered hackberry.
