If you've been wanting to buy a great city lot in Portola to put a modular or manufactured home on or a stick built for that matter, this may be the best city lot that I've seen in years. A very private, elevated view lot just above the 7-11 gas station on the hill. Back alley is best way to enter and preview. E. Quincy Avenue pavement ends west of 2nd Street which makes this a very private lot with views of Beckworth Peak and mountain ranges to the west. Back of lot faces south. Consider putting a garage on the back of the lot so you don't enter off of Quincy, but you'd have to plow the alley in winter but might be worth it. Also, the property below the lot is owned by the 7-11 gas station/store all the way to the bottom of the ravine and they enter their property from below behind the gas station convenience store. Construct a low fence to the south and you wouldn't see the building or roof tops or backyard below. Front NW corner was found, staked and flagged. The back SW corner is flagged out 50 feet from the neighbors fence line which is the width of the lot. Take a folding chair with you and sit down and enjoy the view. You won't be disappointed for the price. Plumas County has Additional Dwelling Units that are ready and approved to build that might work as well save you lots of money and would speed up permiting process or just put a manufactured home on it.
