Little Two-Hearted River

Ernest Hemingway introduced the Two-Hearted name to the world in The Big Two-Hearted River, a short story about his post-World 1 trout fishing experience in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The subject property is a 47.5-acre tract that encompasses 3,000 feet of the Little Two-Hearted River. The river enters the southwest corner of the property, then crisscrosses it and works its way north to the Lake Superior shoreline. It then parallels the lakeshore flowing east approximately 1,400 feet toward entry into the Big Lake.
