Where the river crosses the Plains Road is a great spot to launch a canoe or fishing boat and cast for some fine Trout or Bass. Beautiful Tibbets Falls is just a short distance past this river crossing. (Where the Plains Road takes a sharp right turn, there is a post at this spot where a trail road leads to a parking area at the end of the road and the beginning of a trail to the Falls).
