Coughran, TX established in 1913 was once a thriving small town just outside San Antonio, TX that included a general store, bank, cotton gin, school and post office. Named after W.A. Abe Coughran, the town grew into a population of 100 and by 1914 added a news paper, hotel and several retail and manufacturing establishments. The Old Coughran Ranch is adjacent from the original settlement of the town of Coughran, TX. To this day, many private events take place at the old town settlement such as weddings, rehearsal dinners, receptions, corporate and private events, etc.
