One of the springs is dedicated to the Old Yella Dog Ranch House and overseers mobile home. Another spring provides water to the Owners Residence. Both the Ranch House and Owners Residence each have a 1,400 gallon water storage tank equipped with an electric pump.
Old Yella Dog Ranch has been developed as a working ranch with seasonal cattle grazing lease, typically running 90-150 cows. Upgrades to the existing water system could allow for potential pasture of up to 400 acres.

Air travel is available approximately 23.5 miles from the Ranch at a small municipal airport in Cedarville, California with a single paved runway. Domestic and international flights are available through commercial airlines at Reno-Tahoe International Airport.
The United States Postal Service no longer delivers to Vya, Nevada, so mail is picked up at the Cedarville, California Post Office, about half hour from the Ranch. In Cedarville you will also find a gas station/convenience store, market, feed store, restaurant and hotel, among other small town amenities. Shopping and other services typically available in larger towns and cities are found 2.5 hours northwest in Klamath Falls or 3.75 hours south in Reno, Nevada.
