A short walk into the property you will find Mill Creek. This creek runs the length of the property from West to East splitting the very productive bean fields. The creek features a rocky bottom and contains a blue heron rookery in a very large sycamore tree that grows tall along its bank. On the back side of the tillable fields is a very mature stand of timber that contains a wide variety of trees, from oak, cottonwood, locust, hackberry, pine, and more. Throughout the timber area there are many signs of wildlife and is not uncommon to see deer and turkey while exploring. The further into the timber you track, you will encounter a drastic elevation change the goes up over 100 feet to the top of the property. From the top of either of the 2 hills you will automatically pause and take in the breathtaking views of the valley below. From this vantage point you can see miles in either direction, including views of the nearby Tuttle Creek Reservoir and the tree filled holler between the hills. The pasture on top of these hills was once used to graze cattle on but has not been used to do such in many years and has since become a very secluded habitat for deer. While walking through the thick native grass of the flint hills pasture you will find deer beds scattered throughout.
