If that is not enough, the Santa Fe National Forest and the Pecos Wilderness are just a few miles away.

Amazing fishing is just a short drive and/or hike away on the Pecos, San Juan, Rio Chama rivers and the numerous lakes in the area.

World-class skiing awaits you at Ski Santa Fe, Taos, Wolf Creek, and Purgatory, to name a few.

Art museums and galleries, as well as national parks and monuments, are so numerous in the surrounding communities that it will take years to explore them all.

The owner has never applied for Elk Permits with NMDGF through the Eplus program; thus, the property does not have a history of what the property might qualify for. The new owner would have to apply to NMDGF to determine the requirements and what it would qualify for. Always check local regulations. Bernal, NM, has a mild, dry, semi-arid continental climate characterized by abundant sunshine, low humidity, significant temperature swings between day and night, and a summer-focused precipitation pattern from thunderstorms. Temperatures vary greatly by elevation and time of year, with hot summers, cold winters, and a relatively short, 120-160 day frost-free period.

The region receives light precipitation, averaging about 12-16 inches annually, with a distinct peak during the summer months due to thunderstorms.

The climate is marked by abundant sunshine and low relative humidity, which contributes to the large diurnal (daily) temperature range.

Summers with temperatures frequently rising to an average of 89F, while winters average temperatures drop to around 40F.

A short 50 Miles from the famous square in Santa Fe

A short 17 miles from Las Vegas, NM along Interstate 40, which has fuel, groceries, motels and other necessities.

A short mile after the exit off I40 via a paved county road B26A takes you to the small community of Bernal, then head south on a gravel road B28A for a mile to the north corner of the property.

Both Santa Fe and Albuquerque have major airports to serve with both domestic and international flights.
