There are several other fishing lakes in the area. You have a choice of Beaufort, George, Michigamme and Ruth Lakes which are just minutes away for fishing, swimming and boating!  The Copper Country State Forest and thousands of acres of Corporate CFA Land for walk-in access, in Season, for hunting, trapping, and fishing opportunities are close by. The lakes are inhabited by Largemouth bass, Muskie, Northern pike, Perch, Smallmouth bass, Trout, and Walleye. Craig Lake is 374-Acres in size and is studded with six islands and has high granite bluffs along its northern shoreline. Teddy Lake is a good fishing site for pan fish.  Keewaydin Lake offers the only boat launch in the park and is the only lake that allows motorboats; motorized boats are not permitted on any other lakes to preserve the area’s pristine qualities.  A 7.5 mile section of the North Country Trail runs through the park and covers some rough terrain. This national scenic trail hiking route from North Dakota to New York includes more than 1,500 miles in Michigan.
