Elk:
Migratory Elk of the Buffalo Peaks Herd make their way through the property each fall. The seclusion, forage, and most importantly, the water, attracts Elk to pay frequent visits throughout the later seasons. Steep ridges on either side of the property overlooking the creek bottom and open meadows provide excellent vantage points for rifle hunting. Bull Elk licenses are also valid in Unit 57. Unit 58 Elk harvest success rates range from 30-60% during rifle seasons, with Boone & Crockett level Bulls known in the area.

Mule Deer hunting success rates range from the low 40% to upper 60%, consistently producing Bucks that exceed Pope and Young entry-level scores.
