Location: The Double Dime is located about 20 minutes Northwest of Crystal City, TX in Zavala and Maverick counties, with access off of paved county road FM 2691. The county road stops at the entrance of the ranch offering excellent seclusion and privacy, only 130 miles southwest from San Antonio. There is a 5,000 foot paved runway (TA34) at the ranch headquarters, making it extremely convenient to fly directly to the ranch and taxi up to south lodge.

Land: Terrain is level to gently rolling with topography typical for the region. The native habitat for whitetail and other game on the ranch is excellent with around 4+/- miles of creek running throughout the property and a full menu of South Texas brush throughout the ranch. Spurler creek serves as an excellent water source for all the wildlife, with numerous different drainages and tributaries feeding into it. Water impoundment features along the creeks are in place to hold bigger surface lakes, with multiple lakes holding over 10 acres+/- of surface coverage on the ranch. Soils are productive with a good mix of sandy and clay loams. Internal roads have been maintained throughout the ranch making the majority easy to navigate and the perimeter of the ranch has existing high fencing. Some minerals may be negotiable.

Wildlife: This region is known for its large native whitetail and this ranch is no exception, with excellent management practices resulting in a well-balanced herd with exceptional whitetail produced every year. The ranch is iconic from numerous television appearances on Major League Bowhunter and Buck Commander television shows showcasing the quality of wildlife on the ranch. The habitat on the ranch supports a vast variety of wildlife with whitetail, turkey, quail, and dove in abundant numbers. Year round feeding programs, tillable production, and harvest management is evident. In past years, strip clearing was done to increase the quail habitat and the managers report excellent quail hunting. Ranch Lodge:

As you enter the Double Dime South from the gated entrance off the county road, you are welcomed to the magnificent residence with Mediterranean and Spanish architectural influences overlooking the large stocked bass lake. The 5,000 foot paved runway is adjacent to the home, providing convenient access to the ranch for those preferring air travel, with ability to taxi to the house and park in the hangar. There is one mile of paved internal road to the residence, which features approximately 10,000 sqft under roof, with 6,458 sqft of living space, large patio areas, and an attached garage. The living room contains prominent high ceilings and an enormous stone fireplace that acts as the central focal point for the entire house. Spanish tile floors and elevated ceilings are throughout the home, with each bedroom accessed off the living room and each having small exterior private courtyards. The home features 4 bedrooms and 5 and half bathrooms, separate breakfast and dining areas, game room, office, and wonderful patio and pool area.

The Guest home is a great addition next to the main residence with 1,756 sqft perfect for ranch guest privacy, complete with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a large living room. There is also another 1,045 sqft of living space next to this that is currently utilized as an exercise facility, but has historically been used for additional living space for ranch staff. The Equestrian facility includes a 200x100 covered dressage arena complete with air-conditioned office, 13 stalls, and an overhead light and sprinkler system. There are runs off all but two of the stalls and 10 beautiful horse paddocks piped for portable irrigation surrounding the facility.
