You must see the mountain views in person. To the east are the Sangre Cristo Mountains and Bianca Peak. To the west is the San Juan Mountain Range and Greenie Mountain. There are countless prime areas to fish, hike, backpack, bike, rock climb, boat, four wheel drive, snowmobile, golf, bird and wildlife watch, picnic, and so much more. The Monte Vista Wildlife refuge is about 25 miles away. The Smith Reservoir And State Wildlife Area is less than 7 miles away. The Sanchez Reservoir And State Wildlife Area is about 19 miles away. The San Luis State Wildlife Region is just north of Alamosa. The Rio Grande National Forest is about 36 miles to the west. Alamosa offers all of the amentities of a larger city but with a small town flavor.

The next county to the south is Taos County, New Mexico. There you can enjoy the legendary Carson National Forest, as well as the legacy of the Taos Art Colony and Taos Society Of Artists.

This is a beautiful, unspoiled, and quiet setting. Properties of this type are very hard to find.

This property comes with grandfathered domestic water rights, which allow you to apply for a water well for domestic use. Water in this area is reputed to be shallow and good, we are told that some wells are less than 50 feet deep. You can also apply for a larger capacity well. Road Z intersects with County Road 10 about 1.5 miles to the east. Highway 159 is about 11 miles to the east and Highway 143 is about 8 miles south. Your neighbor as you go west on Road Z is the Natural Prairie Organic Farm.

You can choose to build your dream residence, vacation getaway, or just leave the property as it is and camp/RV while visiting the area and while you hold the property for investment. You can camp/RV for up to 14 days at a time as long as there are at least 3 months in between.
