This 610-acre sporting estate isn't just a hunting property; it's a meticulously designed and maintained hunting country club, cultivated for over 35 years. Imagine the rare luxury of city conveniences right at your doorstep, seamlessly blending with the peace and privacy of the wilderness. This is a lifestyle few hunters or outdoor enthusiasts ever experience.
From the moment you arrive, the difference is palpable. Decades of vision and careful stewardship have created an environment where wildlife truly flourishes and cherished memories are made. Every element, from habitat and timber management to thoughtful water features and top-tier facilities, has been intentionally developed to foster a thriving, balanced ecosystem and an unforgettable experience.
A natural sanctuary, this estate is uniquely shielded from outside pressures by water on one side and an 8-foot-high fence on two sides (north and west). Two ancient oxbow lakes, remnants of old river channels, provide exceptional year-round fishing and serve as a magnet for waterfowl, even as their levels fluctuate with the river. Smaller potholes and floodplains strategically dot the property, further enhancing waterfowl hunting opportunities, especially for wood ducks.
The deer population thrives under careful management, a testament to the owners' cooperation with Louisiana’s Deer Management Assistance Program. Habitat enhancements, supplemental feeding, and an abundance of native food sources—including preserved 100-year-old oak trees—ensure deer have everything they need: water, privacy, and sustenance. This commitment to conservation has resulted in impressive deer and duck densities, guaranteeing exceptional hunting in every season.
Adding to its rare appeal, the property holds a licensed hunting preserve designation, a privilege reserved for properties over 500 acres. Recognizing the decline of natural quail populations in Louisiana, the owners established a dedicated program to raise and release pheasant, quail, and chukar on the estate. What began commercially transitioned to a private operation, offering an upland hunting experience few others can provide. A state-of-the-art brooding facility for quail, pheasant, and chukar, complete with a 420-foot flight pen, ensures a steady supply of flight-ready birds.
At the heart of the estate stands a custom-designed four-bed, 5.5-bath main residence, a perfect blend of comfort, functionality, and charm. Built for both grand entertaining and intimate family life, the home features expansive indoor and outdoor living areas and four strategically placed wet bars. Its seamless flow effortlessly accommodates everything from small gatherings to large events. Each bedroom boasts its own private bathroom and independent climate control, ensuring privacy and comfort for every guest. Expansive porches and outdoor spaces truly extend the living area, making the outdoors as inviting as the indoors.
For additional privacy, a separate two-bed, one-bath guesthouse offers its own kitchen, bath, and living quarters—ideal for visiting hunters, family, or friends to feel completely at home. The operational hub of the estate, the barn, houses essential equipment, tools, and even facilities for the game bird program.
The property's rolling hills are blanketed in mature hardwoods and untouched timber, never cut in 35 years, adding immense beauty, vital wildlife cover, and a profound sense of permanence. Strategically maintained open areas and food plots provide a balanced mix of fresh browse and protective cover. This land truly feels alive in every season, whether you're hunting, fishing, or simply soaking in the profound peace and quiet of nature.
It's impossible to overstate the harmony achieved here—a perfect fusion of thoughtful design, inherent natural advantages, and diligent care. Whether you're casting a line in the oxbows, hunting ducks in the potholes, observing deer in the timber, or enjoying a serene evening on the porch with family and friends, this property offers an unmatched lifestyle.
For those who cherish the traditions of the hunt, the camaraderie of entertaining, and the profound beauty of the natural world, all without sacrificing convenience, this estate is truly without equal. It is far more than a mere hunting camp; it is a legacy sporting estate, a true hunting country club, and an extraordinary opportunity to own a property where memories are not just made, but passed down through generations.

Born and raised in the Mississippi Delta, almost all of my spare time was spent hunting and fishing around the Mississippi river with my family. I grew up loving the outdoors and I still love it today. I worked in the corporate world for my whole career but kept feeling myself drawn to something that I really have a passion for and enjoy doing. That passion would have to involve the outdoors. Working for Whitetail Properties allows me to do what I love and also puts me in a position to help others realize their dreams of owning recreational land. My wife and I raised our three wonderful kids in Monroe, La and have lived here for 22 years.
