Quick Start - Sellers
How often am I billed? Subscriptions will automatically renew each month on the calendar day corresponding to the commencement of your paying membership. You can find your next billing date and the renewal amount on your "My Properties" page.

How do I update my credit card info? You can change your
credit card info by signing in, clicking on "My Properties", and going to
"Edit Billing Info" in the left-hand menu, shaded green. You will need
to re-enter your entire credit card number, expiration date, and billing
address at the same time. Please do not leave any fields blank, or the
card will be rejected by our credit card processor.
I got a notice that my credit card didn't work, or I received an email that my credit card didn't work. What do I do? When your credit card is declined for any reason, we send you an automatic e-mail saying why it was declined, if the credit card processor passed along that information to us, and that the card on your account will be re-billed in three days. Once you receive this email, you should go online and edit your account to correct wrong or inaccurate card information. You can also choose to input a different card entirely.
How do I stop the billing and cancel my listing subscription plan? Log in to Land And Farm, and click "End This Plan" to the right of your Listing Plan information. Billing will be stopped by choosing whichever cancel option you prefer:
Slow Downgrade- A Slow Downgrade keeps your listing(s) on-air (active), until the date shown in the downgrade box and then will end billing automatically.
Fast Downgrade- A Fast Downgrade downgrades your listing(s) immediately to off-air (off-market) and ends billing.
You must select either a slow or fast downgrade, then select the reason for your downgrade and click "Complete Downgrade". If you do not complete your downgrade, you will continue to be billed. You will receive an email notification that your downgrade is complete.
Please note, there are no refunds for unused time. Advertising on Land And Farm is paid for in advance, one month at a time, until you downgrade your Listing Plan.
What about cancellations and credit requests? Subscriptions will renew automatically at the amount and date listed on your "My Properties" page. If a cancellation is made after the renewal date customers are allowed a 1 day grace period from their renewal date in order to receive a full credit request. Any membership cancellation submitted after the 1 day grace period will automatically be downgraded at the end of the billing cycle and you will not be billed again.
Is it safe to put in my credit card on your service? Yes, it is safe to enter credit cards on our service. For every page that you enter information in, or that is displayed, we use SSL encryption, which is the same encryption employed by major e-commerce sites.
Do you accept checks? No, we do not accept checks. If you have questions about our payment system, call 1-888-327-6289.
Turning Listings On/Off-Air
How do I turn off a for sale listing? Log in to Land And Farm, and go to "My Properties". Underneath the Ad Summary for each property is a Downgrade link. Clicking on Downgrade offers two options:
Slow Downgrade- A Slow Downgrade keeps your listing on-air (active), until the date shown in the downgrade box.
Fast Downgrade- A Fast Downgrade downgrades your listing immediately to off-air (off-market).
Auction Listings- Auction listings will downgrade to off-air automatically, one day after the date of the auction listed on your property. To extend your listing and keep it on air, either update the auction date to a date in the future or change your listing from an auction listing to a for sale listing on the Edit Listing page.
Please note, that downgrading a listing does not end or affect your listing subscription plan. If you wish to end your billing, please click "End This Plan" to the right of your Listing Plan information. Land And Farm does not issue refunds for unused time.
How do I turn off an Auction listing? Auction listings will downgrade to off-air automatically, one day after the date of the auction listed on your property. To extend your listing and keep it 'on air', either update the auction date to a date in the future or change your listing from an auction listing to a for sale listing on the "Edit Listing" page.
If you would like to downgrade an auction listing, prior to the date of the auction, please follow the instructions above on downgrading a "For Sale Listing".
How do I upload photos? Once you have successfully added a new listing onto your account, you will then be directed to the page where you can add new photos or attachments. For an existing listing, log into your Land And Farm account and locate the listing you would like to add photos. Click on the "Photos" link. You will be able to add photos once you place your listing (fill out edit form). Once you have done this, go to "My Properties" and click on "Photos" underneath the ad summary. On the next page, click on "Add more photos". Follow the directions presented to add your photos.
What are the size requirements for photos? Photos must
be no larger than 2 megabytes each.
How many photos can I upload? That depends on what type of listing you have, since Standard Listings and Premium Listings have different amounts. For Standard Listings, you can upload as many as 16 photos. For Premium Listings, you can upload as many as 50 photos. You do not have to upload them all at once, and you can replace the photos you have uploaded with new photos at any time.
I don't like the photo that site visitors see when my property comes up in a search. What can I do about this? To change your thumbnail photo, log in and go to "My Properties". Under the Ad Summary is a link. Click on this, and you will see your property photos on the left, and the tools to manipulate the photos on the right. Next to each photo you should see a link that says, "Click to make this the search thumbnail photo". Click on this link and the photo next to it will be the representative photo for the ad on all search results.
Can I send you photos by email?
Yes, you can send photos to your listing by email. Navigate to the photo
upload page (My Properties -> Photos -> Add a Photo), then click
on the email link to open a new email on your computer. The subject and
address of the email will be automatically filled in. Then, attach your
photos to the email and send it. Do not attach more than 5 megabytes of
photos to a single email (2 megabytes is best).
Once your email has been sent from your computer, our system will need
to process them. To process them, navigate to the photo page (My Properties
-> Photos). Click on the link "Check For Emailed Photos". The system
will automatically add any photos it receives.
Your photos are added to your listing in an "OFF" position, meaning they are not visible. We do this to prevent unknown individuals from adding visible photos to our site. You can now turn on each photo you wish to be visible.
How do I change the Page Counter on my listing? First,
log into the My Properties page, and use the "Detailed View" to view your
account summary. Locate the listing under your account and click on the link "Change How Views Are Displayed" below.
You can change how the views are displayed (hidden or visible)
and you can reset the page views.
What are "Front Page Views"? "Front Page Views" refers to the number of times a Featured Listing has appeared on the front home page of Land And Farm. Non-featured listings will generally have a "0" count for this counter.
What are "Page Views"? "Page Views" refers
to the number of times your listing has been viewed by a visitor.
What are "Page Views (as Displayed)"? "Page Views (as Displayed)" refers to the page view counter
that is displayed on your listing for visitors to see online. You can
reset this to zero at any time by changing your "Page Counter".
How do I edit my listing? Log into your account on Land And Farm and click the "My Properties" page. Locate the listing you would like to made changes to and click on the "Edit"' link.
Contacting Sellers - To Purchase Property
How do I buy a property? You
can't actually buy property directly via Land And Farm, however you
can contact sellers easily and quickly. To contact a seller, navigate
to the listing page (click on the blue headline in the results page to
pull up an ad in its entirety) and click on "email seller" or use the
phone and address contact information listed in the listing, at the bottom
of the page under "Contact Information."
What can you tell me about a property?
We can tell you everything that is listed in the advertisement on Land And Farm.
That includes seller contact information included at the bottom of each
property advertisement page.
How can I find out more about a property?
You can contact the seller using the link at the top of each listing,
"Email the Seller". Or, you can use any contact information provided in
the advertisement. Although we do not require this, sellers may provide
phone numbers or mailing addresses.

Contacting Sellers - Emails
I e-mailed the seller but he or she didn't respond. What can I do? We're not sure why the seller didn't respond to your email. Sellers who pay for ads should respond to inquiries, but we cannot, unfortunately, compel a seller to respond. Some sellers list other contact channels: phone, fax, or postal address. You may try one or all of these to elicit a response.
I received spam. What do I do? You can send it to us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We block known spammers from our service. However, you may sometimes get an inquiry from someone who is simply attempting to elicit a reply to obtain your email. You do not have to respond to an inquiry, so examine inquiries carefully to judge whether they are legitimate - send them to us if you are not sure. We also try to alert you if spammers get through by marking e-mails that we suspect are spam. If you think you have been sent spam, please forward it to us so that we may take appropriate action.
Can visitors see my email address? No, they cannot see a seller's e-mail address. We hide advertiser e-mail addresses by the use of an online form. This helps protect our advertisers from automated programs that collect email addresses to send unwanted mail.
I lost an email from a potential buyer, what do I do? E-mails sent via Land And Farm to advertisers are saved online. You can see e-mails sent to you by clicking on the appropriate link under your advertisement on the "MyProperties" page.
Edit Property Location
My property location map is incorrect. How can I change it? If your map is showing the incorrect location on your property page, first verify you have entered the listing address correctly by clicking on the "Edit" section and verifying the property address as well as the zip code. Alternately, you can edit the property location by clicking on "Edit Property Location" located on your account summary page when using the detailed view option. Move your cursor over the correct location. Click the correct spot on the map to move the property flag to the desired location. The flag should follow where you click. Then click "Save Property Location" when finished.
