Baker 40 tract will be sold by lump sum sealed bid on Friday, January 30, 2009, at 3:00pm. The Baker 40 Tract is located five miles southeast of Amity and twenty miles west of Arkadelphia. Access is good via a woods road (perpetual easement) from Caldwell Road. Easement is recorded in Book 628, Page 355 at the Clark County Courthouse. Gate on Caldwell Road can be opened with a 5757 combination. Timber consists of a well stocked loblolly pine plantation. Improved loblolly pine seedlings were planted in December 1996 following an aerial site prep spray of an Arsenal/Accord Mix. Pines will be ready for pulpwood thinning in three years. Terrain is gently rolling. Soils consist of fine sandy loams with site index for loblolly pine averaging 75 feet on fifty year base. Small creeks cross part of tract.
