Location: The ranch is located in the southwestern part of Scurry County, just north of the Mitchell County line. Access to the property is provided by Scurry County Road 3186, which is located just a few miles off Highway 350. Nearby communities include Snyder, approximately 20 miles away, Colorado City, approximately 25 miles away, and Big Spring, approximately 33 miles away. Antelope Ridge is also conveniently located approximately 73 miles from Midland, 91 miles from Abilene, 103 miles from Lubbock, and 243 miles from Fort Worth.

Lake J.B. Thomas is located approximately 4 miles from the ranch as the crow flies, offering additional recreational opportunities nearby.

Acreage: Antelope Ridge is 381.17± acres with a variety of habitat & cover types. With the Colorado River bottom to the north of the property, you can view that bottom country from the ridge that runs across the ranch.

There are approximately 90± acres of cultivation on the south and southeast part of the ranch. A dense thicket of larger mesquites adjacent to the cultivation is great cover, with the more open bottom country rounding out the acreage.

Topography: The property offers approximately 90 feet of total elevation relief, with the highest point reaching 2,290 feet along the southern boundary. From there, the land gradually slopes toward the northern and eastern portions of the ranch, descending to approximately 2,200 feet in the bottom country below the ridge. The ridgeline itself provides approximately 50 feet of elevation change, creating scenic views and adding diversity to the landscape.

Rainfall and Elevation: According to the Texas State Historical Association, Scurry County averages 22.7” of rainfall annually.

Cover: The cover changes across the property. Open cultivation is found along the southern portion of the ranch, while a thick block of mature mesquite transitions into lighter mesquite cover in the bottom country to the north, just off the ridge.

Fences: Antelope Ridge is fully fenced, except for approximately 30 acres of cultivation that lies outside the fence line. An additional 60± acres of cultivated ground are fenced and have been used for wheat pasture over the last couple of years.

The fencing is of mixed age and materials, including both wood and metal, but remains functional for livestock containment and property use.

Utilities: There is no electricity currently. Oncor Electric Delivery provides electric service to the area. There are overhead lines less than one mile away along County Road 3186.

Water: There are 2 tanks that provide surface water. Underground water is hit or miss in the area.

Hunting: Antelope Ridge has had limited hunting over the last couple of years, and it gets its name from the pronghorn antelope that have been observed in the area.

The Colorado River bottom provides excellent habitat for game, while the cultivated acreage along the southern side of the bottomland offers additional forage opportunities.

Wildlife that inhabits the area includes white-tailed deer, feral hogs, mourning doves, and various duck species, which also utilize the ponds and nearby Lake J.B. Thomas during the winter months. Both bobwhite and blue quail have been observed on the property as well.

Coyotes, bobcats, and various other varmints are also native to the area. Game camera photos have documented white-tailed deer, blue and bobwhite quail, feral hogs, and pronghorn antelope.

If you zoom in on the cultivated acreage to the south, you will notice numerous game trails throughout the field.

Residence and Improvements: The ranch is unimproved acreage with no structures or facilities.
