Live Water Ranch

Live Water Ranch is 1,270 acres of Garza County country 13 miles northeast of Post and under an hour from Lubbock, with paved FM 651 coming to the east corner of the ranch.

The Salt Fork of the Brazos River runs through the ranch, and three live springs feed it -- year-round surface water, which in this part of Texas is the one thing a buyer cannot add later. Three stock tanks are spread across the place as well, one of which is dry at present.

The outside boundary is fenced in five-strand barbed wire. It hunts: deer, hogs, turkey, quail and dove all use the river bottom and the brush. Soils are varied, with no single type covering more than about 20% of the ranch, which is part of why the cover changes as much as it does from one end to the other.
