The North Buckner Tract (#03019-03566) is an +/- 80-acre parcel of timberland located in northeastern Lafayette County about 11 miles northeast of Lewisville, AR (North 33.440208, West 93.410012). The topography consists of well-drained upland hills upland hills sloping towards an intermittent creek drain flowing into a small pond on the northern portion of the tract. Access is excellent with AR Hwy-53 running along the western edge and Lafayette RD #86 running along the southern edge of the property. Some utilities exist along these public roads to provide for camp/home site potential within the Lafayette County School District. Over half of the tract contains a stand of mostly hardwood pulpwood along with some scattered sawlogs. About 10 acres in the northeast corner containing mostly pine were thinned a couple of years ago; just under 20 acres of pine remain unthinned in the southwestern corner. According to the USDA NRCS web soil survey, the soil composition of the property is an assortment of fine sandy loams that give the tract a weighted average site index of 87.9 feet for Loblolly Pine (base age 50).
