Halls Machine Shop
This self-insulating clay tile building is a 20th century Linden institution, where Mr. Claude Hall did all sorts of metal fabrication. The building faces Rush Street and is divided into two sections, with both personnel doors and large sliding doors for easy loading. There is also a large covered area attached to the south side.
Sited alongside Ten Yard Branch, Lindens only spring-fed stream, this building was Lindens very first Ice Plant. Its sturdy masonry walls make it ideal as a large workshop or possibly a 2-shop commercial conversion.

This is a large wood frame building clad in corrugated metal. It has a lofty open truss ceiling and a pair of opposing horizontal sliding doors that are wide enough for large vehicles to enter. The foundation and overhead door supports were upgraded about 5 years ago to extend the life of the building. On the lot just south of the gin is a well. City utilities are available along both boundaries of the property.
This would make a wonderful artisan studio or in combination with the Machine Shop the entire complex could be converted into a large eating establishment. These buildings have been used in recent years strictly for storage and with a little updating and outfitting they suit a new commercial purpose. Sheds that connect the two buildings should be removed in order to create two distinct functional spaces. This would make two separate leasable spaces, each with its own street frontage.
