Springlake Feedyard is located 4.5 miles west of Earth, TX, at CR 99 and HWY 70. The yard is permitted for 10,000 head. It is a multifunctional yard with possible uses ranging from preconditioning to finishing cattle.
It features:
A layout of 63 pens. The capacity of the pens range from 250 to 50 head.
A self-contained lagoon system with on and off, heated cattle waterers. Water supplied by three on-site wells.
A fully-functional roller mill with Sar-Tech application system, leg, and 3 million pounds of grain storage. A new leg belt was installed in 2007 and only used for seven months.
One registered commodity scale and one registered cattle scale.
Diversified areas for handling cattle with a processing barn and a hospital on west side of yard.
