Hunting is in the San Juan Abajo Mountains Unit. Tags are available through the Utah Division of Wildlife Draw System. The application period is in February. Landowner Tags may be available through the Landowner Tag System with applications due by Oct. 1 every year.

Groceries can be purchased at Blue Mountain Foods. Several convenience-stores provide for fuel stops. Local specialty shops provide for souvenirs. Several museums can be found in the area. These pay homage to Eras of old. Uranium & Vanadium Mining was integral in Monticellos settling and growth.

There is no claimed water associated with the property. Water rights and well opportunities would have to be acquired through the state/county. Water wells are in the area.
